Introducing The 2012 Ford Mustang

The 2012 Mustang engine delivers abundant power and off-the-line low-end torque, while still providing impressive fuel efficiency. The independent camshaft timing (TI-VCT) comes standard in all its engines. The new Mustang Boss 302 features the Mustang 5.0L engine, 444 horsepower Hi Po 302 V8 that redlines at 7,500 rpm, with 31 mpg. Laguna Seca features a V6 5.0L engine with a V8 that pumps out a smoking 412 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. All engines are mated to six-speed transmissions either manual or automatic. The Mustang delivers a sporty smooth-shifting performance with a responsive low-end torque with greater fuel economy in a high overdrive gear. Other features include a "runner in the box" intake manifold and forged pistons, sodium-filled valves, valve springs, oil cooler and high-lift cams, with adjustable front and rear shocks.
